MISSION

As part of Doğuş University's Faculty of Art and Design, the Department of Architecture is dedicated to educating professionals, creative designers and conscious citizens who are scientifically, intellectually, ethically and technically conscious, having high-quality skills, in the light of universal and contemporary values.

VISION 

Doğuş University's Faculty of Art and Design, the Department of Architecture aims to provide an architectural education environment that will contribute to the transforming world in the axis of crises and scientific/social progress, to train international architects and to encourage pioneering productions in their fields.

To achieve our mission, our decisions and actions are based on the following core values:

• Committed to producing conceptual thinkers and talented professionals who are conscious of critical theory, history, science and progressive social values, and adept in the technique and knowledge of the discipline, by believing that architecture is a conceptually based practice and a form of critical inquiry that addresses the built and natural environments from urban scale to building scale.
• Providing students with the disciplinary norms of the knowledge and skills necessary in order to train leading professionals in the rapidly changing world,
• Presenting the concept of architecture as a reflective and conceptually based discipline, encouraging thoughtful and creative solutions to the challenges faced by society, and fostering intellectual curiosity and lifelong learning,
• Serving a group of students with various academic backgrounds, experiences, and fields of interests by creating an atmosphere of open inquiry and exchange that brings the cultural and academic experiences of instructors and students together,
• Producing qualified works in the sector as a part of institutional recognition specifically for departments and by supporting students to gain different perspectives; aiming to have professional people who contribute to the discipline with their current studies take an active part in various roles,
• Creating an atmosphere of interdisciplinary collaboration so as to address the complex, spatial, economic, social, and environmental challenges of contemporary practice collaboratively,
• On behalf of strengthening the relationship between industry and the market, providing support to education by strengthening the student-professional environment relationship by giving lectures/seminars in the department through the names who do current works in the professional architectural environment that will be able to contribute to architectural education.
