Established in 2004, Doğuş University, Faculty of Art and Design aims to educate patriotic artists and designers who adhere to the principles and revolutions of the Republic, are sensitive to art and society, can question themselves, criticize, have ethical values and aesthetic awareness, respect the rights of others, are equipped with high-quality information and to bring young talents to society.
Faculty of Art and Design aims to educate students who are creative, productive, able to produce creative contributions to the society they live in, use advanced technology, realize social projects through art, create artworks and designs in international scales, contribute to industry and technology in fields of Graphic (with English and Turkish Departments), Visual Communication Design, Architecture, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts and Acting opened in 2017-2018 academic year. Since its establishment in 2017, a total of 1046 students graduated from the Faculty of Art and Design. The mission of our faculty is to educate artists and designers who can contribute to the field of art and design with original creations at international standards, to contribute to the proliferation of creative values in society, and to contribute to training in terms of art and design; to help art and design enter into life, to promote art in the country and to serve the development of society. Our Faculty is continuously progressing with numerous activities, national and international exhibitions, symposiums and Erasmus relations in fields of Art, Design and Architecture.
The mission of the Faculty of Art and Design is to enable the student to conduct interdisciplinary studies; to create opportunities to prepare a special program with elective courses, to provide double major and minor degree opportunities and to establish full compliance with the European Credit Transfer System. Research, development and creation of a creative environment for faculty members and students, increasing international student and faculty exchanges and international relations, conducting social responsibility projects, increasing inter-institutional educational activities and encouraging students to engage in various activities in the field of interdisciplinary arts are encouraged. Distinguished names of the field are included in this board. Education is supported by national and international exhibitions, workshops, film screenings, conferences and symposiums organized by the Faculty and the society is supported by art.
